The Com4t.EU Chair will organize several public activities and participation in related events during the project period, which will be announced through traditional communication and social channels.

The communication and dissemination activities of Com4t.EU are oriented towards defining a legacy to be extended beyond the project. To achieve this, the Com4t.EU Chair will promote cooperation with local sector entities focusing on public involvement.

Com4T.EU participated in the VI Conference of the Italian Scientific of Sociology, Culture, Communication titled "Can we still understand the Society?, Understanding, Prediction, Critique" held at the Sapienza University of Rome on June 20-21, 2024.

During the event, the topic of European institutional communication was discussed, and together with Sapienza University and preliminary research results on youth participation in the European Election  were presented together with Sapienza and Messina universities

Com4T.EU participated in the annual conference of the Italian Association of Political Communication at the University of Catania from May 30 to June 1, 2024.

Professor Marinella Belluati, Com4T.EU Chair holder, spoke during the round table "The media construction of Europe. Where is the Union (almost) 20 years later. In dialogue with the ideas of Carlo Merletti".

The results of the ongoing research project on the engagement of informal groups in the new European Public Sphere during the 2024 European elections were presented.

On Tuesday, May 28th, at 2:30 PM, in the Panoramic Hall of the Metropolitan City of Turin, Alba Garavet (University of Turin, Europe Direct Turin) will give the final lecture of the Laboratory on EU Cohesion Policies and communication strategies for territories. 

Students from the laboratory will share their experiences monitoring PNRR projects and will talk with institutional and academic representatives. 

Professor Marinella Belluati, Com4T.EU Chair holder, will also be speaking.

On Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 10 a.m., at the Gianni Merlini European Section of the Bobbio Library, there will be a presentation of the book "Europe without Rethoric: Paths of European Integration in Miriam Camps, Rosi Braidotti, Zadie Smith" by Professor Barbara Curli (University of Turin).    

Professor Marinella Belluati, Com4T.EU Chair holder, will also be speaking.

The Jean Monnet Chair - Com4T.EU will participate in the first local edition of the European Youth Event in Italy. 

The initiative will take place in Forlì (FC) from May 17 to 19, 2024. 

During the EYE, more than 4,000 young people from all over Europe will meet to discuss the present and future of Europe through the numerous activities proposed by the associations involved.

On Friday, 17 May 2024 at 6 p.m., at the OGR Turin, there will be the launch of the magazine Artificial Intelligence MagIA developed by the University of Turin in collaboration with SIpEIA, and the presentation of the book "Algorithmic Intimacy" by Anthony Elliott.

Professor Marinella Belluati, Com4T.EU Chair Holder, will intervene.

On Saturday, May 11, 2024, Com4T.EU and Europa Aperta organized the event "The EU in Barriera: the narrative of the EU elections; Barriera and the EU". The activities included: a lecture about the institutional campaign about the next EU elections, and a walk through the neighborhood of Barriera di Milano (Turin) to discover some areas improved with European funds.

On March 7 at 6 p.m. at the University of Turin (Aula magna - Luigi Einaudi Campus) will start the cycle of meetings on Artificial Intelligence - AI in action.

During the first meeting will discuss the new European regulation on Artificial Intelligence and its implications in Public Administration.

Com4T.EU participated in the international conference "Public sphere in Europe between communication and disinformation" organized by the Department of Political Science at the University of Catania on February 1st and 2nd, 2024.

The conference, which is part of the project "Post-truth politics and the resilience of the public sphere in Europe (POPSPHERE)", provided an opportunity to examine the responses of European communication policies to post-truth politics, taking into account the risks of disinformation and emerging communication practices in the European Union's public sphere.

The AI and Innovation in 2024 workshop will be the opportunity to further discuss about opportunities and challenges related to AI and new technologies. It will take place on February 7th at the University of Turin (Campus Luigi Einaudi, Sala Lauree Blu) from 11 am to 3 pm.

Professor Marinella Belluati, Com4T.EU Chair Holder, will intervene as moderator.

Rural Youth For EU: Towards The Next European Elections is a seminary co-organised by the Jean Monnet Chair Com4T.EU, Give Back Giovani Aree Interne, the European Parliament Representation in Italy and the Europe Direct Centre ROMA TRE. It will be held on January 27th from 3pm to 5 pm at Europe-Experience David Sassoli in Rome (Roma, P.zza Venezia 6c). 

The seminar will be about youth, participation and Europe and a particular focus will be dedicated to the next European elections

MEPs, scholars, representatives of the Third Sector and civil society will take part in the event that aims to define a call to action aiming to foster youth civic engagement in rural and marginalized areas to be then presented to policy-makers.

Le parole per capire l'Europa is a project implemented by the Europe Direct Centres of Turin, Vercelli and Cuneo in partnership with the University of Turin to discuss about Europe and European issues with high school students. Experts and academics will be involved too.
